Evelyn (Ellen) Ramsay passed away peacefully on June 21, 2020.

Born to Lavinia and Patrick McLaughlin one of 9 children

Predeceased by her loving husband Bob of 66 yrs. Survived by her children Lavina, Edith, Catherine (Tom), Robert (Shelley), Candide (Tom), James (Denise &Treyson): Nine grandchildren Andrea (Josh), Brandon (Michelle), Jared, Devin (Justine), Sean (Megan), Carly (Stephen), Katrina (Rob), Ellen and Luke; Four Great grandchildren; Brock, Hazel, Sawyer and Sophia; Her sister Grace Melrose. Aunty Evelyn will be fondly remembered by numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Born October 29,1930 in Lennoxtown Scotland. Where she attended St. Machans school and went on to complete her Nursing at Lennox Castle; Mom was 19 when she sailed to Montreal and then by train to New Westminster. Soon after was employed at Woodlands School. While working at Woodlands she attended a dance where as luck would have it she met Bob. They married on June 20,1953. Soon after started a family while living in the little house on Schoolhouse on Peperes' property.Then moving to 555 Berry St. to the new home Bob built, where they lived with many great neighbors. Mom worked at Royal Columbian Hospital, Cardiology Department for many years and made many life long friends there. After retirement they moved to Westbridge where Mom enjoyed many visitors and doing the room and board for the flagging crews from Kelowna. The lure of family brought them back to Maple Ridge after 10 yrs. Where she lived the last few years at Holyrood Manor.We thank them for their wonderful care. Mom was always happy if she was helping and doing for others.

Due to Covid-19 a Private Funeral Mass will be held at St. Lukes in Maple Ridge.
