Garth Brian Sparkes

Garth passed away peacefully with his loved ones by his side.

Garth was the oldest Son of Gordon & Clara Sparkes. He was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba but grew up in Burnaby, BC.. Garth moved to Coquitlam BC in his early twenties. He resided there until his passing at 90 years of age. 

Garth worked as a probation officer until his retirement in 1996. 

Garth loved to travel, play golf, curl & walk. He covered lots of miles over his years. Garth loved to tell jokes & make people laugh. He always had a good story to share. He loved his music & he was a fabulous dancer. 

Garth is survived by his beloved wife, Ana Ron. His children, Randall, Kevin (Tracy), Karen (Todd), Tracey (Dave). Grandchildren, Dwain, Victoria, Dallas, Tess, Shannon, Cameron & Breanne. Great grandchildren, Lux, Ivy, Leir, Peyton & Macey. 

Garth will be deeply missed by many friends and family. 

A celebration of life will be held on August 1, 2026 at 940 Porter Street, Coquitlam BC 1:00pm - 4:00pm.
