Giuseppe Guglielmini

August 11, 1936 — June 8, 2024

Giuseppe (Bepi or Joe) Guglielmini, beloved husband, father, brother, nonno and friend, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2024, with family at his side. He touched the lives of many with his humor, friendship and kindness.

Joe was born in Mussolente, Italy on August 11, 1936 as the fourth of six children. He immigrated to Canada in 1957 following his older sister who was living in New Westminster. In 1963, he brought over his love, Virginia and they were married on December 14th of the same year. The two remained together the rest of their lives, celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary in 2023. Together they raised their children in Coquitlam. Joe was a sawmill worker for MacMillan Bloedel, Canadian White Pine Division for over 40 years. After his retirement he enjoyed his days working in his garden, bowling, watching soccer, visiting with his family and playing cards or bocce with his friends.

He will forever be remembered by his wife, Virginia, his children Danny(Marie), David(Shirley), Anita(Franco), and Nadia(Matt), and his grandchildren (Chantel, Sara, Michael, Matteo, Isla, and Aria) and many other family members in Canada, Italy and Brazil.

Heartfelt thanks are extended to the team of nurses and doctors at St. Michael’s Hospice in Burnaby for the care given to him in the final weeks of his life. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, June 25th at All Saints Parish (821 Fairfax St., Coquitlam.) Reception to follow immediately after the mass. In lieu of flowers, you can donate to the Heart and Stroke foundation or BC Diabetes foundation.
