It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather. Gordon will be greatly missed by his family. Survived by his son Glen (Barb) and grandchildren Erin and Ian. He was predeceased by Alice, his wife of 54 years. He was also predeceased by his son Don, who passed in 2015. Born in east Vancouver, Gordon attended Carlton and Tecumseh Elementary Schools and John Oliver High School. He worked for many years in the construction industry as a union journeyman carpenter and supervisor retiring at age 55. He and Alice moved to Qualicum Beach in 1978 where they spent many years enjoying island life. Gordon was a loyal son, brother, husband, father and grandfather who valued family responsibility. We wish to thank Gordon's Qualicum Beach neighbours for their support. Gordon's family would also like to thank the staff at St. Michaels Centre for their care and kindness. A graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park located at 3789 Royal Avenue, Burnaby, BC on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 11 a.m.
