WILSON, Gordon
September 25, 1939 - May 5, 2017
We would like to honour the head of our family, Gordon Wilson. He died suddenly while running his usual 6 kilometres on the treadmill. We will dearly miss him but have assurance that we will be reunited for eternity. He leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Maxine; his son, James and wife, Joeybeth; his daughter, Heidi and husband, Paul Krieg; and his much loved granddaughter, Isabelle. Gordon had a long and successful business career as a manufacturer's agent and was still supplying goods to customers at the time of his death.
Gordon had a passion for being involved and contributing in community serving in various roles as a 17 year member of the Dogwood Pavilion Board. He also was an umpire for the Coquitlam Minor Softball Association and for Special Olympics Softball tournaments. He loved sports, playing singles tennis, slopitch and floor hockey during the week he died.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 1636 Regan Avenue, Coquitlam on Saturday, June 10 at 11:00 a.m., reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Share Society, www.sharesociety.ca.
