Passed peacefully on Palm Sunday (April 13, 2014) in the presence of his loving wife Irene. Married 60 years, he is survived by his sister Maxine, 12 children, 35 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
In his early years, Hector fired steam locomotives for the CPR. He was an electrician by profession and in retirement became a master craftsman, creating intricate wood turnings. Hector was a gentle, humble, hard-working family man. He enjoyed nature, gardening, raspberry pie and dark chocolate. He had an engaging smile and was generous with his time and talents. Hector will be greatly missed and always remembered.
Prayers with viewing will be held on Monday April 21 at 7:00 p.m. at All Saints Church, 821 Fairfax Street, Coquitlam, B.C. A funeral mass at same location will be held on Wednesday April 23 at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Robinson Cemetery, Coquitlam.
