BRODIE, Isabella (Ella) Gillespie
Peacefully passed away early on July 4, 2015 at 93 years of age.
Predeceased and returned to loving husband Fred, sister Nellie, brothers Jack and Willie, brothers-in-law Ned and David, and sister-in-law Nan.
Loved and sorely missed by daughter Ellen and niece Edna. Ella will also be missed by nieces and nephew in Scotland, Nanaimo and Langley.
Ella came to Canada to marry Fred, and be Mum to Ellen, in 1968. She was a shy, caring and beautiful person. Ella eventually came out of her shell and settled into life in Canada. She still loved to go back to Scotland and was always Scottish in her heart.
The Celebration of Life will be led by Nancy Kato, a good friend to Ellen.
Special Thank You to the 2nd floor staff at Cartier House, especially her Janet and Riza. Thank you so much to the staff for the great care you gave Ella for more than 11 years! She truly loved you.
Ellen and Edna would like to thank everyone for their kind words and thoughts.
