We are deeply saddened by the loss of James "Jim" DeGiovanni who passed away on October 8, 2013. Jim will be missed by his devoted wife Margaret, his children, John, Gail, Anne, Maria, Sandy and Rich. He was a most loved Papa to his grandchildren, Stephanie, Tessa, Abbey, Emma, Quinn and Jacob. Jim was a friend to many, a cherished brother and uncle. He was predeceased by his parents, Tony and Terese, sisters Nora and Jackie, and survived by sisters Ginny and Lee. Jim was born on May 24, 1936, grew up in Penticton, and moved to Vancouver in1958. Jim and Margaret were married for 51 years and raised their children in Glenayre. The family wishes to thank Fraser Health nurses, Dr. B. Toews, and their incredible friends, family and neighbours for all the care they have provided. Flowers are gratefully declined in lieu of donations to Children's Hospital. Prayers will be held at St. Joseph's R.C. Church (140 Moody Street, Port Moody) at 7:00 pm Monday October 14, followed by Mass at 10:30 am on Tuesday October 15.
