James Garfield Picard

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of James Garfield Picard. Born December 14, 1973 in North Vancouver, BC, he passed at Surrey Memorial Hospital on Saturday July 5, 2025 from a brave battle with cancer. 

James was a freemason with Lynn Valley and Quesnel lodges. He is survived by wife Katherine, sons Kenneth and Donald and daughter Emma, predeceased by his parents Wilfred Picard and Sherry Picard (Nee Fraser) and grandparents Ken and Lilian Fraser, and survived by brother Brian Picard, nephew Fraser Picard, brother-in-law Gordon Brown (Neysa), sister-in-law Krista Duguay(JP), nephew Jean Daniel Duguay, great niece Hailee, aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Thank you to Gardaworld, Save-On-Foods, and Surrey Memorial Hospital staff for the support during this time. James will be missed by family, friends and coworkers.
