Jason Slipko passed away, leaving behind a loving family and many cherished memories.
Born on October 4, 1971, in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, Jason was the beloved son of Rev. Fr. Stephen and Mary Slipko (née Olynyk), and brother to Larissa, brother in-law to Michael and uncle to Ethan and Joshua. At the age of four, Jason moved with his family to Port Coquitlam, BC where he spent most of his life. He attended Lincoln Elementary School, George Perks Jr. High, and Terry Fox Secondary School before earning a Business Diploma from Douglas College.
Jason enjoyed an active childhood and youth, participating in baseball and soccer and spending many hours on the ski slopes. A passionate hockey enthusiast, he especially loved playing as a goalie. Some of Jason's fondest memories were made during summers spent on the family farm in Saskatchewan. He treasured the time he spent with his Baba and Gido, as well as his Aunty Cynthia and Uncle Leslie. Jason shared a special companionship with his beloved Boston Terrier, Anina. The two were inseparable, spending countless hours together outdoors on walks and enjoying each other's company. Anina brought Jason comfort, friendship, and unconditional love.
May his memory be eternal.
