John Collett
June 6, 1970 — June 8, 2019
John Collett succumbed to cancer on Saturday June 8th, 2019 at 2:10pm. He had just turned 49 on June 6th.
His life’s love was his cooking (and man could he cook!!) closely followed by his love for his niece Rachel, his “parents” dog Montana, and the rest of his family. The memories he carried closest to his heart were his years in Corfu and working at Roda Oasis Hotel & Apartments. The friendships he made there were everlasting, the owners becoming like a second family.
His favorite things included his love of Eagles (specifically bald or screaming Eagles), his younger years playing lacrosse in New West & then Killarney, and his years in school playing soccer.
He is survived by his loving parents Lorne & Sybil Collett, his sister Arlene Collett, and his niece Rachel Collett.
At the request of the family, please do not send flowers (allergies). If you would like to do something in John’s memory, please donate to St Michael’s Hospice in Burnaby where they treated John so wonderfully, or donate to a charity of your choice.

Please note parking at church is limited. We recommend using the parkade located at 4th Street and Columbia. For those who are traveling by transit, Columbia Station (Expo Line) will be the closest SkyTrain station.
