John, aged 62, passed away on April 3, 2017 surrounded by his beloved family and after a courageous battle with cancer. John is survived by his two beautiful daughters Janelle and Tamara Kropp, sisters Bernadette (Robert) Gray and Laura, brother in laws Lou and Dino (Beth) Morena, and extended family, friends, and many business colleagues. John was predeceased by his wife Lina Kropp, parents Bernie and Estelle Kropp, brother in law Alex Gyori and Nephew John Bond.

John was a devoted husband and father who worked tremendously hard to provide for his family, friends, business partners, and whoever crossed his path. John loved to travel, especially to Vegas and Tampa Florida where he attended university. Dad spend much of his free time on the golf course and enjoying a cold glass (or several) of Stella beers with his friends. John was known for his storytelling, and ability to make everyone smile. He always put his family first and made sure to provide the best life he could for his daughters so they could go on countless family vacations, sometimes bringing their friends along, and allowing both Janelle and Tamara to go to university to complete their Bachelor degrees.

John will be missed by all who knew him. The family wishes to thank all the doctors and nurses at Surrey Cancer Agency for their work, and those at Eagle Ridge Hospital for providing John and the family comfort in the final days.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am, Thursday, April 6th 2017 at St Clare of Assisi Catholic Parish, 1320 Johnson St, Coquitlam, BC. Following the Funeral Mass at 1:00 p.m., please join the family for a Celebration of John's Life at Westwood Golf & Country Club at 3251 Plateau Blvd, Coquitlam, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations to the BC Cancer Foundation or Eagle Ridge Hospital would be appreciated.
