John Towart

Jack was born in Transcona, Manitoba in 1929. He grew up with this mother, father and older brother in Ontario. His brother, George, was killed in the war in 1943 in Sicily and his father passed away two years later in 1945. In 1947, Jack and his Mom moved out to BC and settled in New Westminster. This is where he met his wife, Connie, at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio. They married in 1955 and had two daughters, Joy and Laura.

Jack loved his family and was a gentle, caring soul. He loved animals very much, especially his beloved Queenie. His other passions were jazz music, red wine and anything to do with space travel.

Predeceased by his wife, Connie, he leaves behind his daughters Joy (John), Laura (Robert); grandchildren, Elizabeth (Ian), Michael (Cherry), Nicholas (Dhanica), Christopher (Kirsten), Lesley and Kimberley and three great grandchildren.
