JOYCE AGNES MENARD (nee Redfern)
Joyce was born August 27, 1937 in Montreal, P.Q, and died on January 1, 2015 in Coquitlam, B.C. She was predeceased by her parents Ernest Redfern and Ann Elizabeth Phillips, her husband Marcel Menard, and her brothers, James Phillips Redfern, Ernest J. Redfern, Charles Joseph Redfern and Arthur E. Redfern. She is survived by her sister Anna M. Hyde of Salmon Arm, B.C., her brother Norman (Margaret) Redfern of Montreal, P.Q. and many nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and nephews.
Joyce moved to B.C. in her 20's, where she worked as a dispatcher for Bonny's Taxi. She married Marcel Menard in 1966 and they lived in New Westminster. She was known for her beautiful wavy red hair and her love of the colour green; she loved music and would often break out in song. She was positive, unselfish and grateful for that which she received. Her family thanks the staff of the Belvedere Care Centre for their compassionate and loving care of our aunt.
