It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Joyelle Goldbard at the age of 51 on July 2, 2026.

Joyelle’s creativity and unique spirit touched the lives of many. They leave behind their two beloved sons, Gabriel and Gavin, who were a source of pride and happiness in their life.

They are also lovingly remembered by their three brothers, several nieces and nephews, and many friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared.

A gifted musician and talented artist, Joyelle found beauty in self-expression and inspired others through their creativity. They had a remarkable ability to bring emotion, connection, and colour into the lives of those around them.

Though their passing was sudden and leaves an immeasurable void, their laughter, creativity, and enduring spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew them.

They will be deeply missed and forever remembered for how they touched the lives of those around them.

A private celebration of Joyelle’s life will be held for family. The Tri-Cities Pride Society will hold a public memorial on Tuesday, July 21 at 7pm at Town Centre Park Amphitheater in Coquitlam.

The family invites those who wish to honour their memory to financially support the Sunshine Coast Search and Rescue Team in grateful recognition of their service to the community. Donate — Sunshine Coast Search & Rescue
