It is with deep sadness that the family of Judith Anne Paccagnan announces her peaceful passing on May 12th, 2026.
Judith’s parents, James and Gladys Briggs, immigrated to Canada from the UK and made a brief stop in Montreal, Quebec where Judith was born on October 30th, 1944 before further travelling west to settle in Coquitlam, BC.
Judith was predeceased by her beloved and devoted husband, Roberto Paccagnan, who passed away a few years ago, as well by her oldest brother, Roger Briggs (nieces Lynne and Lisa and nephew Jim).
She leaves behind her loving sons, Stephen and Robert and her cherished daughter-in-law, Chenoa, and her three adored grandchildren, Nicholas, Amanda and Benjamin who brought her endless pride and joy. She is also lovingly remembered by her younger brother, Ken Briggs and her sister in-law Lydia Briggs along with their children Stephanie (Brad) and Michael (Jessica); her sister-in-law, Rina Rossi, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
Together with her husband Roberto they travelled extensively, embracing adventures and creating treasured memories in many distant places, including several trips to Italy. She especially loved entertaining family and friends at their home, where countless summer barbecues, holiday gatherings and celebrations were shared with laughter, generosity and love.
Judith lived a full and meaningful life devoted to family, friendship, and creating a warm and welcoming home for all who knew her.
She will be remembered for her kindness, hospitality, quiet strength, wisdom and unwavering devotion to husband Roberto and her family. Her presence enriched the lives of all who knew her and her memory will be forever cherished.
A funeral service will be held on June 4th at 10:30am (reception to follow) at Kearney Columbia-Bowell Chapel, 219 6th Street New Westminster, BC.
