It is with deep love and heartfelt remembrance that we celebrate the life of Judy Kern Knowles of Coquitlam, British Columbia, a woman whose presence brought warmth, strength, and compassion to all who knew her, and who will be profoundly missed.
Born on October 13, 1956, in New York, USA, to Raymond and Marion Kern, Judy was one of eight children. She was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, touching countless lives with her kindness, resilience, and unwavering love.
Judy is survived by her loving husband, David Knowles, her partner in life, who shared each day with her in love and care. She was preceded in death by her beloved oldest son, Duke, whom she carried in her heart always. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Jeanne (Phillip), Patricia (Anthony), and Michael. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Jhamal, Allyssa, Phillip, Delaliah, Raymond, Damian, Janesia, Grace, Issiac, Joseph, and Brianna, as well as her three great-grandchildren, all of whom were the true center of her world and the source of her greatest joy.
Judy lived her life selflessly for her family. She found happiness in the simple yet meaningful moments; time spent together, laughter shared, and memories created that will live on in the hearts of those she loved. Judy knew how to always make someone feel welcomed, valued and loved and that spirit of kindness and compassion will be one that is everlasting with those who were lucky enough to know her. Judy had a special way of showing her love, she would call those close to her “babe” and remind them they were her “world,” though in truth, it was she who meant the world to all who loved her.
A private family gathering will be held to honor and celebrate this remarkable woman, where her loved ones will come together to share cherished memories and reflect on her beautiful life, with an additional service to be held in the United States among close family and friends.
“Her children arise up, and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praiseth her.” — Proverbs 31:28.
Father, we thank You for the love, joy, peace, wisdom, honor, glory, strength, power, riches, and righteousness You placed within her. May her body rest peacefully and her soul abide with You for eternity. Surround us with Your love and comfort until the day we are reunited in Your heavenly kingdom.
In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen. Amen. Amen.
