Katherine Covey MacCorkindale

On August 5, 2026, Katherine Covey McCorkindale passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and love.

Predeceased by her beloved husband, Hugh, and her daughter, Maggi, Kathy carried their memories with her throughout every chapter of her life.

She is lovingly remembered by her son, James (Jo-Anne); her granddaughter, Nayla; her grandson, Davin (Julianna); her step-granddaughter, Kylie (Kyle); and her brother, Jim. Kathy loved each of them deeply and supported them wholeheartedly. Her family was the center of her world and her greatest source of pride and joy.

Kathy began her career as a nurse, dedicating herself to caring for others with compassion and kindness. She will be remembered for her gentle heart, thoughtful nature, and remarkable ability to make people feel connected, understood, and at home.

A gifted seamstress, Kathy's creativity and attention to detail brought countless beautiful creations to life. She was especially known for designing and sewing stunning wedding and graduation dresses, each crafted with exceptional skill to celebrate life's most cherished milestones. Her talents also extended to creating church hangings that added beauty and reverence to her congregation's place of worship.

Kathy found joy in early morning swims, the fellowship of her church community, bridge, and travels with her dear friend, Irene. The stories she brought home from her adventures were always shared with a twinkle in her eye.

Her creativity, generosity of spirit, and unwavering love for family and friends will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Laurence Church.

A Funeral Service and Celebration of Life will be held Friday, August 21, at 11:00 a.m. at:
