Kevin Earl Fisher passed away peacefully at 46 on February 9th, 2025, at St Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver surrounded by his family.
Kevin was born on May 11, 1978, in Vancouver to his parents Warren and Penelope Fisher and his older sister Karen, his younger brother Jonathan and sister Jennifer were to be born 4 years after him.
Growing up Kevin was always happy and tried to make everyone around him feel the same. He enjoyed playing video games, collecting hockey cards, playing Magic the Gathering (a strategic card game), and playing sports in the parks and rec centers. He watched basketball, hockey and football. Kevin frequently went to the gym to work out and swim, encouraging others to live a healthy lifestyle.
Into his adulthood, Kevin continued his passion for sports downtown Vancouver. He joined various sports leagues including ultimate frisbee, dodgeball and floor hockey. He also played basketball on the weekends at the Britannia Community Centre and started playing beach volleyball at English Bay and Kits Beach. He loved spending time outdoors, and he loved being out in the sunshine. Kevin enjoyed the beach and walking downtown, often sharing numerous sunny photos and commentary on Facebook.
Kevin traveled a lot, including Thailand, and frequent trips to Las Vegas and Mexico where he shared his memories and photos of him living life to the fullest.
Kevin had a great sense of humour and people who knew Kevin would comment on the funny one-liners he would have, and he was always making people laugh to brighten up their day.
Kevin had a good heart which was brought out through the holidays and at different events. Kevin loved to put up the tree, decorate, wrap presents and bring joy to everyone around him. Always trying to make the best of everything and bring joy to everyone around him.
Kevin cared a lot about his family and would always check in on them to see if they needed anything or if he could help them in any way.
Kevin brought a lot of joy and laughter to everyone he met. He was a kind, gentle person that never got mad at anyone or had a bad word to say. He was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed. Kevin will always be in our hearts and memories. He’ll will never be forgotten. May Kevin’s, life and spirit remain with all of us.
Kevin’s funeral service will be held at the Kearney Columbia-Bowell Funeral Chapel in New Westminster at 10:30 am on Monday February 24th.
