Lance Mitchell Scott passed away suddenly from a heart attack at home in Port Coquitlam on the evening of June 19, 2014.
He was born on December 31, 1958 in New Westminster.
In 1969 his parents moved him and his brother Randy to El Cerrito California in the Greater San Francisco region.
He spent many happy years there working in various jobs including as a crane operator.
Lance returned to Canada in 1991 and resided mainly in Port Coquitlam.
The last 10 years of his life were spent working as a warehouseman for the BC Liquor Distribution Branch.
Lance was a big guy with a big heart and big personality to match.
Once you met him you wouldn’t forget him.
He had strong opinions and was never one to back away from confrontation. In fact he enjoyed it. He wouldn’t mince words and would tell you directly if he disagreed with you, sometimes using colour metaphors if he thought you weren’t getting his point.
Lance leaves to mourn his loving wife Kerry, kitty cats Beaner & Mica, mother Trudy Cargill, brother Bob (Mary), sister Valerie (Dave), nephew Mike (Renee) grandnieces, Kristin & Kelsey, and great-grandniece Makenna.
His passing has a left a great void in our hearts.
Lance, may you rest in peace in the loving arms of God.
