Laurie, 72, passed away at his home in Port Moody with his wife, Lori, and children Derek and Missy by his side.

Born in Vancouver and raised in Burnaby, BC, to parents Joseph and Yvonne. He attended Burnaby North secondary. In his early adult years he moved to Coquitlam where he raised his family and then settled in Port Moody. Laurie could be found at a hockey arena or baseball field and was a very talented woodworker .

On June 1, 2002 he married Lori Carlson and he joined the Carlson Family which included many years of friendships and lifelong memories at Cultus Lake, his second home. He loved to sit by the fire and work in his shop creating wood pieces for us all to enjoy.

Predeceased by parents, Joseph and Yvonne. Sisters Anne Taylor and Mary Bocking, and his beloved baby girl, Denise. Laurie is survived by his wife, Lori. Son, Derek (Lisa), Brooklyn, Sydney, Devun and Chase.
Daughter, Missy (Marc), Jamie (Kyle), Carter and Ryann. Sister, Josie Penny (Gerry) and many nieces and nephews. Brother-in-law Bill (Cindy), Christie and Ben.

* Celebration of life to be held at the Vancouver Golf Course
771 Austin Ave.
Coquitlam, B.C.
Friday, November 18th
2-5pm
