Leighton Thomas Marko Thorne

It is with immense sorrow that we announce the death of our son and brother, Leighton Thomas Marko Thorne. Leighton passed on September 9th 2026, on his thirtieth birthday.

Leighton was born in Vancouver, spent his childhood in South Surrey, and returned to Vancouver as an adult. He will be remembered for his kindness, deep empathy, generosity, curiosity and intellect, and cheeky sense of humour.

Leighton is survived by his mother Michele, his father Daniel, and his sister Sydney.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday September 24th at 1:30 PM at Holy Rosary Cathedral (646 Richards St, Vancouver).
