IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lewis Allan
Carr
March 23, 1947 – February 4, 2026
It is with deep sadness that the family of Lewis Carr announces his peaceful passing, at the age of 78.
A proud and skilled civil technologist with the City of Burnaby, Lewis dedicated his career to building and improving the communities around him. Among his most notable contributions was his work on the two sections of the Coquihalla Hwy — a stretch of road that stands as a lasting testament to his talent and dedication. In everything he did professionally, Lewis brought precision, care, and an unmistakable passion for his craft.
In his younger years, Lewis had a great love of travel, exploring the world with curiosity and an open heart. Those who knew him well will also fondly remember his signature approach to home projects — where no solution was ever too thorough, and no repair was ever under-engineered.
Above all, Lewis was a devoted husband and father. He was the steady heart of his family, deeply loved and endlessly admired.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jannette, and his three sons, Allan, Michael, and Craig.
Lewis will be profoundly missed by all who had the joy of knowing him. His legacy lives on in the roads we travel, the family he cherished, and the lives he touched along the way.
