Malcolm Bishop

November 9, 1941 — July 2, 2024

Malcolm D. Bishop, 82, passed away July 2, 2024 at Royal Columbian Hospital surrounded by his children and grandchildren, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, integrity and generosity.

From working alongside his father and brother in the mills, Malcolm's strong work ethic led him to become a power engineer for the BC government and Director for the Safety Authority of BC. He met his beloved wife Freda at a party, starting a lifelong love story.

Malcolm's passion for gardening and his devotion to his family, especially his grandson Dante, defined his life. Known for his easy-going nature and love of cake, Malcolm's legacy of love and hard work will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Malcolm leaves behind four children Brenda, Bonnie (Asher), Brian (Athena), and C(D); 14 grandchildren; Sebastian, Saturn, Susanna, Zelda, Dante, Wolf, Orion, Nara, Sirius, Rei, Seia, Maya, A, and D; that will dearly miss him and his treats, cooking and visits to his yard to pick berries alongside him or play. Malcolm is predeceased by his beloved wife Freda and son Neale.

Arrangements have been made to honour Malcolm Friday July 26, 2024 at 10:00am at Columbia-Bowell Chapel, 219- 6th St, New Westminster; Reception to follow at Centennial Lodge at Queen's Park, New Westminster at 11:30am.

Burial will take place at 2pm at Robinson Memorial Park Cemetery, 621 Robinson St., Coquitlam
