Mom was a blessing to everyone who knew her. She married her high-school sweetheart, Danny Worobec, in 1946. Dad predeceased Mom in 1995. Our darling Mom is survived by her four daughters: Diane Kikkert (Rob), Maureen Atkins, Judy Myles (Doug), and Valerie Wettstein (Ralph); her grandchildren Kasha Duff (Darren), Sabrina Bigsby (Adri), Sarah Brownlee (Russ), and Eric Wettstein; and her great-grandchildren, Nakara and Ophelia Duff and Atticus Bigsby. She was predeceased by her grandson Matthew Wettstein.
Mom was a devoted mother. She loved baking and sewing and grandchild-sitting and having family dinners. With her quiet strength and sweet disposition, she bonded our family together. We will forever miss the sound of her laughter and treating her to DQ ice-creams.
We are thankful that Mom was in the dedicated care of Dr. Bernhard Toews and the caring and compassionate staff at Belvedere Care Home, Coquitlam, who were her extended family for many years. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of BC or a charity of your choice.
