It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our beloved mother, Marlene Dolores Davy. Marlene passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026, at the age of 83, after facing cancer with courage and grace in her last years.
Marlene will be remembered as a loving mother, proud grandmother, devoted sister, cherished friend, and a woman of warmth, creativity, and quiet strength. From a young age, she had a deep love for the arts; sketching and painting, a passion she shared with her own mother. Marlene was an outstanding cook and trained chef who brought quality love to the family table. She found beauty in colour, music, culture, and nature (especially Como Lake, which was her favourite walking path).
She is survived by her children, Laura (Frank) and Mitchell (Andrea); her grandchildren, Graysen, Giorgia, Ethan, Simon, Emma, Gwyneth, and Clara; her brother, Elliot; her surviving step-siblings, Dan and Beryl; and many dear friends. She is also lovingly remembered by her devoted partner, Jim.
Though she will be deeply missed, her love, creativity, and gentle spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
A celebration of Marlene's life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Columbia-Bowell Chapel, at 219 Sixth Street New Westminster. A reception will follow the memorial.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation towards Marlenes memorial at Como Lake Park in Coquitlam, British Columbia.
Forever loved, forever remembered, forever missed.
