RENVILLE, Marie Therese (nee Goulet)
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved sister and aunt on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, after a short but brave battle with cancer. Terry was born on November 29, 1933 in Bellevue, Saskatchewan to Jean-Baptiste (84) and Roseanna (91) Goulet. She was predeceased by her brother, Edouard (79) and her sister Louise (08). Terry is survived by her loving family, Archille, Philip, Laurent, Donat, Aline, Richard, Madeleine and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Terry enjoyed a lengthy career with the Royal Bank of Canada where she retired with the admiration and respect of all who worked with her. She was a proud member of the Ladies Auxiliary of The Royal Canadian Legion for 31 years. Terry bowled competitively in league and tournament play throughout the Lower Mainland, most notably for Maillardville Lanes. She spent time volunteering at the Cameron Centre and the Centre Bel Age in Maillardville. Terry loved to travel, especially, but not exclusively with family members. She loved to go on cruises, but was probably known more for her regular visits to the state of Nevada. Terry could often be found playing bingo or seated around a card table with anyone who would offer a game.
Special thanks to the amazing nurses and doctors on 6 North at the Royal Columbian Hospital who made her last days comfortable and peaceful. Funeral mass will be held Wednesday, September 18, at 12:00 noon in St. Peter’s Catholic Church – 330 Royal Avenue, New Westminster. Rev. T. Conway – Celebrant. Burial to follow at Robinson Memorial Park, Coquitlam. Afterwards, please come and join us for the reception celebrating Teresa’s life at the Royal Canadian Legion, 1025 Ridgeway Avenue, Coquitlam.
