Maureen Fleury

January 31, 1950 — November 30, 2023

Fleury, Maureen Katherine passed away suddenly and peacefully on November 30th, 2023 at Eagle Ridge Hospital in Port Moody B.C at the age of 73 years, after a short battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph (2004) and Lillian (2020). Parker and her cherished uncle James William Scott (2005). Maureen is survived by and will sadly be missed and lovingly remembered by her beloved sons Brendan, Jonathan and Shaun Fleury, her partner Mark Benson and by Gordan Fleury. She is also survived by her sister Sheila Parker and by many friends and cousins in the Windsor, Ontario area.

Maureen was employed for many years at the Westminster Credit Union. Eventually attaining the position of manager of the forms and procedural division before her retirement. She had a passion for music and was actively involved with the music scene around the Lower Mainland for many years. She was especially known for her drumming abilities.

Mostly, Maureen will be remembered for her kind and giving nature, always putting others before herself, for her sense of humor and for her razor-sharp wit.
Maureen’s remains will be cremated, and a Memorial Service will be held at the Kearney Columbia- Bowell Chapel, 219 6th St. New Westminster, B.C on January 20th, 2024 at 1:00pm, followed by refreshments.
At a later date, Maureen’s ashes will be interred at Greenlawn Cemetery in Windsor Ontario followed by a Celebration of Life.
