Patricia Tennant

Patricia Hope Tennant of Port Moody BC passed away suddenly on August 5, 2014 at home surrounded by her family. She was 77 years old.

Born on August 17, 1936 in Durban, South Africa she was the elder daughter of the late Ralph and Natalie Rich. Married to Stuart Tennant in 1960 in a double wedding with her sister Lorraine (Duncan). She was happily married for 54 years. She leaves behind her loving and caring husband Stuart, sons Gary (Donna), Steven (Roxanne) and Richard (Heather), her four grandchildren, Dustin, Dylan, Alyssa and Mitchell and her sister Lorraine (Duncan)

Patricia and Stuart immigrated to Calgary in 1962 and moved to Port Moody in 1964. She was a real mother and her whole world was her home, her husband and the three sons she adored. She was a kind and gentle soul who was incredibly gifted and has left behind the most amazing petitpoint pictures, crocheted blankets and knitted items. Gardening was another of her passions and she spent many happy hours attending to her plants. Another of her talents was to turn her home into a wonderland for each season, with her decorations for Christmas, Easter, Halloween and even Valentines Day and St. Patricks Day.

She loved clothes, and always looked fabulous. Her wardrobe, hats and jewellery are legendary! She spent endless hours at the Lougheed Mall shopping for gifts for everyone at home and abroad and her ideas for choosing gifts was unrivaled. She made up wonderful surprises for the children in her life and she never forgot a birthday, anniversary, special occasion or anyone in need.

A private family Celebration of Life will be held for her and in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Diabetes Foundation or Eagle Ridge Hospital in Port Moody.
