Raymond William Campbell

With grateful hearts for a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Raymond William Campbell, on July 30, 2026, at the age of 75.

Raymond was born in Mission, BC on September 16, 1950, and raised in Prince George. As a young man, he moved to Burnaby, where he met Deborah, and together they built a life filled with family, hard work, and love. Raymond was the beloved husband of Deborah, devoted father of Melanie (Dean), Leana, and Dustin (Stephanie), and a proud grandfather to Hailey Nicola, Matthew, Milo, Sadie, William, and Alexander. He is also lovingly remembered by his brother, Lloyd (Elsie), along with many extended family members and dear friends.

Raymond was predeceased by his father, Ford Campbell; his mother, Elsa; and his brothers, Carson and Hartley.

Raymond will be remembered for his quick wit, playful sense of humor, and his willingness to help anyone in need.He never stopped seeking new knowledge and experiences, whether he was travelling, earning his pilot’s license, or being part of a sailing team.

Raymond was hardworking and dedicated many years of his life to the family business, Elcam, and then embarked into a second career with BC Hydro. More than anything, Raymond was a dedicated family man and a dogs’ best friend.

In recent years, Raymond faced Alzheimer's disease with courage and quiet strength. His resilience throughout his journey reflected the strength of character that defined his life.

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 13, 2026 from 2:00 to 5:00pm at the Burnaby Lake Pavilion.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a donation in Raymond's memory to the Alzheimer Society.

He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever in our hearts.
