Javorsky, Ronald (Ron) was born in Coleman, Alberta to parents Annie Sandulak and Leon Javorsky on March 20, 1940. After living in British Columbia for many years, Ron passed away at George Derby Centre in Burnaby, BC, at the age of 86, on July 31st, 2026. He was predeceased by his mother and father, his wife, Dale Radford, and his great-granddaughter, Kira. Ron will be missed by his four children, Rexford, Kelly, Zoe and Amanda, his grandchildren, Rayanne, Brandon and James, his great-grandchildren, Jayden and Charlie, and among others.
Ron led an unconventional life, but anyone that knew him would speak of his kindness toward others. Nobody was beneath him, and he greeted everyone as a friend. When his wife, Dale, became a patient at Riverview Hospital, he stayed on the Riverview Grounds to be with her. While he stayed there, he provided recreational therapy for many patients at Riverview in exchange for free meals. Everybody at Riverview knew Ron and would speak of his kindness and respect for the patients there. Ron and Dale formed many happy memories birdwatching at Colony Farm Regional Park, where their ashes will be spread together in a small family gathering, followed by a picnic and bird walk in their honour, around the anniversary of Dale’s passing.
