Sheila Roberts

May 13, 1933 — June 24, 2020

Sheila Lillian Mae Roberts nee McAnulty May 13, 1933-June 24, 2020. It was a peaceful passing. We are sad but relieved she is at peace.

Sheila was the best friend and loving wife to Jim. Survived by her children Virginia (Janet); James (Judy); Terry Graff (Terry); Sean and nephew Brian Milloy (Debi); eleven grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great Grandson and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her loving husband Jim and son Raymond, as well as her parents Patrick and Lillian McAnulty and her six siblings John, Raymond, Gerald, Percy, Keith, and Rita.

Born in Montreal, Jim and Sheila moved the family to Anmore in the 60’s. Sheila worked fulltime teaching then was a much-loved principal at St Patrick’s Elementary in Vancouver for many years. What Sheila loved most in life was getting together with family and friends. There were many parties and family reunions at their home. We all have wonderful memories of family vacations. She loved to travel and had many wonderful adventures around the world.

We want to thank all the wonderful people who helped Mom over the last years of her life at Baillie House. Thanks to all the care aids, nurses, rehab and recreation staff and cleaning staff for keeping her safe, comfortable and pain free. We would like to especially thank everyone at Independent Matters for providing the many hours of loving support and providing Sheila with the best possible quality of life.

We are going to wait to have the funeral until the restrictions of COVID -19 are lifted. We know she touched many hearts and we wish to allow for all to come to say goodbye and to get together as Jim and Sheila have always done. In lieu of flowers please donate to Baillie House Recreation Department.
