Sik Kei Pun

1933 — Aug 9, 2026

Sik Kei Pun passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026, at the age of 92.

Born in Hong Kong in 1933, Sik Kei spent much of his life there before immigrating to Vancouver, British Columbia, in 1994. Vancouver became his home for more than three decades, where he built a new chapter of his life while always maintaining a strong connection to Hong Kong.

Sik Kei was known for his wonderful sense of humour and his honest and sincere character. He treated those around him with genuine care and was always willing to lend a helping hand or offer support whenever it was needed. Those who knew him will remember the laughter and lighthearted moments he brought to family gatherings and conversations with friends.

Throughout his life, Sik Kei had a great passion for photography and hi-fi systems. Photography gave him a way to capture the people, places, and moments around him, while his passion for high-fidelity sound brought him many years of enjoyment. His enthusiasm for these interests also had a lasting influence on his children.

Sik Kei will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Wing Kee Chu; his children, Lai Hung, Man Hung, and Hiu Ming; their spouses, Hing Fei and Carmen; and his beloved grandson, Oscar.

He will also be deeply missed by his relatives and many longtime friends from Hong Kong. The relationships he maintained across the years and across the distance were an important part of his life and a reflection of the lasting bonds he formed with those around him.

After 92 years, Sik Kei leaves behind a lifetime of memories for his family and friends—memories of his humour, his kindness, his passions, the friendships he treasured, and the many moments they shared together.

He will be deeply missed, but the impact Sik Kei had on those who knew and loved him will remain with them always.

May he rest in peace.
