We are deeply saddened to announce that our Mother, Sinikka Holbrook, passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s predeceased by father and mother Toivo and Annikki Huotari and brother Oliver. Sinikka is survived by her loving husband David; sister Rita; Brothers-in-law Richard and Hugh; sisters-in-law Diane and Donna; sons Michael (Melinda) and David (Beth); grandchildren Logan and Lucas; nieces Tina (Andy), Carlie (Jon), nieces Meredith and Carolyn; nephews Mathew and Hazen; cousins, grandnieces, grandnephews and friends.
Mom will be greatly missed by all. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the caregivers at the Dufferin Care Centre in Coquitlam for the care they provided Mom over the past eight months.
Celebration of Life will be held for Sinikka at 2pm on Thursday May 14, 2015 at the Burquitlam Funeral Home, 625 North Road in Coquitlam.
