It is with deep sorrow that the family of Steven Glenn Marsden announces his sudden passing on December 23, 2025, at the age of 72.
Steven was born in 1953 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and was raised in Burnaby by his parents, Ray and Mavis Marsden. Throughout his life, he was known for his strong work ethic, integrity, and devotion to his family.
Steven attended high school at Burnaby Central and went on to attend post-secondary at SFU. He would go on to a career as a pipeline inspector and worked for BC Hydro Gas Division/ Fortis for over forty years and was widely respected for his professionalism, reliability, and dedication to his work. These qualities were reflected not only in his career, but also in the way he lived his life.
He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving and supportive father, and a proud grandfather who took great joy in his granddaughters. Steven was known for his sharp wit, quiet strength, and steadfast loyalty to those he cared for.
Steven is survived by his wife, Kristine; his sons, Bret and Sean; his sister, Lynn (Victor); his daughters-in-law, Catherine and Marina; his cherished granddaughters; and many extended family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at The Clubhouse, 65 Foxwood Drive, Port Moody, British Columbia. Friends and family are invited to attend and honour Steven’s memory.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
