MATIETS, Tracey Louise (nee Fritzke)

Passed away peacefully with family by her side on April 10, 2015. Predeceased by husband John (1987) brothers; Roger, Leo, Tony, Herman and Gilbert, and sister Claire.Loved and missed by son Leslie; daughters Marilyn (Lyle) Braithwaite, Margie (Brian) and Debbie (Tony); grandchildren Andrew (Sarah), Jane (Graham), Sarah and Michael Braithwaite, Amirah, Alina and Darren, Jania, Chelsey, Kalee and Lainey; great-grandchildren Eleanor and Hazel; brothers Ted, Bob and Lee; sisters Marie, Gertie and Geraldine.

Tracey started work at an early age and continued to work hard at various jobs throughout her life. She was a proud veteran, having served in the Canadian Army stationed in Montreal, during World War II. Tracey was a good mother who truly loved and cared for her family. She found great joy in the Lord and was not afraid to spread His message. Special thanks to Debbie, Alina, Darren and Tony, with whom Mom had lived for her last five years. They lovingly cared for Mom, and we are truly grateful and thankful.

Funeral Service will be held at Burquitlam Funeral Home, 625 North Road, Coquitlam. Prayers and Viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2015, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:15 a.m. Reception to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #263, 1025 Ridgeway Avenue, Coquitlam. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army, or charity of your choice.
