Tyler Micah Carvalho

It is with deep sadness and much love that we mourn the accidental passing of Tyler Carvalho of Maple Ridge, BC, on November 10, 2025, at the age of 39.

Tyler struggled with substance use disorder after being prescribed medication for severe depression as a young adult. He passed away from a toxic drug overdose, joining in heaven so many others taken far too soon by the drug epidemic we face today.

Tyler tried many times to overcome his addiction through counseling, recovery, and his own determination. Though he was not able to win that battle, drugs do not define him. Behind the despair was a kind and gentle soul who loved animals, nature, and the earth immensely.

Tyler, you loved your family. You will remain with all of us forever. We take comfort in knowing your spirit rests in peace and love beyond our understanding.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to mental health and addiction supports. Locally, contributions may be made to the Umbrella Society.
