Violet Tooke

November 28, 1930 — March 27, 2017

Tooke, Violet (Bunny) Loraine
November 28, 1930 – March 27, 2017

After a valiant battle with cancer, we are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma. Bunny was born in Calgary to Frank & Vera Eveans, and moved to BC in the mid sixties. She was a talented artist who loved to work in ceramics and was a great crafter. Bunny was active in the Daughters of the Nile, as her late husband Barry was an active member of the Gizeh Shriners of BC. She was the rock of the family, always keeping everyone on an even keel when we got off course.

She was predeceased by her husband Barry in 2014 and son Rick in 2013. She leaves behind her children Lori (Paul) and Glenn, her step-daughters Christina (Ken) and Julia and her daughter in-law Mary: her grandchildren, Ryan, Shaylee, Will, Matt, Kyle, Jamie and Lesley and her great-grandchildren Ceirra, Holden, Shelby, Georgia, Aayla, Quinn and Charlotte.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 10:00 AM - Burquitlam Funeral Home, 625 North Road, Coquitlam, BC. Special thanks to the staff at Tabor Home for their great care of our dear Mom during the last months of her life. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the BC Cancer Agency or Tabor Home Society.
