William Westley White

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Wes White on October 31, 2025. He passed away peacefully, with family by his side, at Crossroads Hospice in Port Moody, BC. at the age of 89 years.

He was born in New Westminster, BC on September 25, 1936.

Wes is survived by his wife Eleanor of 68 years; children Gordon (Donna) White, Jackie (March) Dusang, Morgan (Tina) White; grandchildren Andrea (Dan) Green, Dave (Ronna-Lee) Dusang, Michelle (Christian) Cooke, Derek (Amanda) White, and Julia White; great-grandchildren Jessica & Tyler Green, Jordan Dusang, Coleton & Lincoln Cooke; brother Bev (“Frank”) White and sister Kay Walliser. Wes was predeceased by his parents James and Pearl White; brother Pat White, sisters Phoebe Fiddler, Loretta White and June White; and great-grandson Jaden Kerr.

Wes was a loving and devoted husband and father who shared a lifetime of love, happiness and laughter.

Wes proudly served his country in the Royal Canadian Air Force, for 16 years, stationed at various bases across Canada. During this period of his life, Wes formed many lifelong friendships, and would often visit during their travels. Family, friends and travel were his greatest passions in life. When not on one of their travelling adventures, Wes also enjoyed woodworking, stamp collecting and needlepoint. His lovingly handcrafted needlepoint Christmas stockings will continue to be cherished for many years to come.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff and volunteers at Royal Columbian Hospital and Crossroads Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion throughout Wes’ final journey.

A service will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes on November 10, 2025 at 11:00 am

A celebration of his life will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Hall after the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society
