Obituary for Miro Angeles

Miro Angeles
Miro was born on March 24, 1938 in Mexico City. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Patricia, his

three sisters: Gloria, Lucia (Gerry) and Rosa; his daughter, Elaine (Wayne); his four step children:

Linda (Brian), Gina (Kiddie), Dan and Cyndie (Mike); his step grandchildren: Brianne (Matt), Sean (Nicki),

Alicia (Guthrie), Angelica, Greg (Amanda), Clare, Denise, Jake(Hayley); and his step great grandchildren:

Sophie, Ian, Luc, Dom, Kaelas, Taetum and Alistair. He also leaves behind many other relatives, good

friends and neighbours. Miro retired from BCIT in 2000 after a long and successful career teaching

electronics. He was very dedicated to his students and his profession. His personal interests included

walking – especially when accompanied by Max, travel and photography. He was very well read and

enjoyed discussing and debating many diverse subjects. He enjoyed time spent with his family and was

personally responsible for the many pictorial memories we have of our special occasions. He shared his

interests and his joy of learning with his grandchildren. Miro was a very caring and compassionate

person. He was never too busy to lend an ear or a hand and took a genuine interest in the lives of

others. Miro will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
