Tribute to You, Ray & your Mom

Dear Ray

I went to see your Mom this afternoon (Sunday) when I got home from Nanaimo.  I went to see her on Wednesday to tell her I was going away for a few days.  As always in the past little while, I wasn't sure if she heard me, however I felt it was important to let her know. I saw her memorial photo on the table when I arrived.  I am so sorry, please accept my sympathy.

She loved you so much. She felt privileged to have you as her son.  She spoke many times of the fun she had with you when you were growing up.  As I told you on the phone she often told me the story about when you were little you said to her, "you are looking after me when I am little and I'll look after you when I am big".  So many times she said I don't know what I would do if I didn't have Ray to look after me now.  Your Mom said you were such a wonderful child to raise, you didn't give her any problems, and she said it was like you were born an adult.

I loved you mom's stories about what is was like when she was growing up, her stories of her working life, holidays she went on and her volunteer work.  Stories of when she was married to your Dad and then married again. She was proud of her grandchildren and loved it when you all when out for celebratory lunches or dinners.

I am glad I got to know your Mom, she was a treasure

Warm regards, Lois
