Condolence: Thank you for letting me know. Yes Vic was a huge mentor to me when I was starting with my career. He taught me a lot both in my work and in my personal life. He did machine work after he retired from Westcoast. He had a small shop in his home. He made many parts for me in my business from his home shop . I did the basic design for his home in fact. Wonderful man one of the best I have to say Vic was one of those people that just stood out, hard to describe, he was a fun loving person never had a bad thing to say about anyone or anything. He always looked for the good in things. I cannot get down for his funeral but he is in my thoughts at this time. I will remember him always.

Condolence: My eight years working with Vic were some of the best of my working life. His jousting with Pete as to who was the strongest, his discussions( or lack of getting a word in ) with Val as to planning, his stern look to some newby who didn't yet know he was truly a big hearted gentle giant.I especially liked Mondays in the winter when he would come by my office and tell me all about a snowmobile trip he and the boys had taken on the weekend, always with such family pride. He was a man who asked your opinion because he really wanted to understand a situation better and who actually used your advice. If he made a mistake he apologized, shook your hand and moved on, of course you spent the next 5 minutes waiting for the circulation to return. He had the fortune of having his boys work with and for him, and was full of pride when David and Rod became firemen. He cared deeply about his employer, his family and the people who had his back especially if yours matched his work ethic. To me he was the face of WESTCOAST. Safe travels Big Vic and to all that loved him.

Condolence: We first met Vic about 35 years ago through the Summit Seekers Snowmobile Club. We have remained friends ever since, Randy also worked with Vic at Westcoast Cylinders. I have great memories of our snowmobile trips up Burke Mtn., Brohme Ridge & the winter campouts at Copper Creek. He is a wonderful man & will be dearly missed. I imagine he & Bob are sharing stories and a beer as they look down on us all. Thinking of you all.

Condolence: Much like Shane I too had the great fortune to have met Vic and the privilege to have had worked with him. There is so much I could say with respect to Vic. He definitely was an upstanding man with a good nature. For me personally he was a mentor and a colleague and I can honestly say that I would not have had the success in my career if I had not met Vic. I will truely miss this gentle man. For Vic's family words cannot express the sadness you are all experiencing, however with that said Vic taut all of us young generation so much that we too pass this knowledge and ethics to our families so he does live on in all our hearts forever.

Condolence: I had the good fortune of knowing Vic through a summer job at Westcoast cylinders spanning a number of years. On all accounts he was a great guy whose strong presence while initially being met with a healthy dose of fear and trepidation on my part as a teenager, quickly developed into a deep respect in witnessing his unwavering work ethic and genuine care for the people around him. Without knowing it, he taught me a lot about working with people, the value of hard work and life in general. My deepest condolences to the family and his countless friends.
