sunday dinner
I always remember the generosity of Mrs Iucolino at Sunday dinners for Marco's hungry runner friends. The welcome was fond, and the tables groaning under the weight of home made dinner. We always ran much further on those days knowing that we would be feasting later that night. We always inspected the garden first, amazed at the efforts. Most of the food was home-grown, with home made wine and peaches in wine for desert. We ate until replete, happy with the conversation, good company and food.
They were fond times.
