The Owl - Poem
THE OWL
You reminded us of a wise old owl,
always sitting and watching over his kin.
Throughout the years it was always comforting,
knowing you were there to see us in our skin.
A more wonderful man we will never see,
when we were small, you took us on your knee.
As we grew older you were always there,
all we had to do was call.
We knew we could count on you….
you would never let us fall.
We were blessed to have had a man in our life,
where no problem was too tall.
Although we miss you which causes us sorrow,
and we feel like curling up in a ball.
We know that you are still watching over us
from your perch in Heaven
in God’s hands, we trust.
