Michelle Graves (Charbonneau)

Dear Clem, Michele, Mike and families. I was so sorry to hear of Marge's passing but relieved that her suffering was over. Although I'm sure she would have continued to endure the pain to be able to spend more time with her loved ones, it"s not fair for her to do so and God loved her too much for that. Although it's been a long time since I've seen you guys I have great memories of times growing up together spent at your home on the inlet. My mom has kept me updated on all your lives and big milestones like the births of your children. I've seen your mom and dad more often through events with my parents, a couple of them celebrated at our own home. Marge and Clem never changed, it was like time froze around them. I remember Marge as a genuinely nice person who was interested in what you had to say. Eager to brag about her kids and grandkids. I can totally relate to that now that I am a grandma myself. She was a lifelong friend to my mom. I am thankful to her for that. My mom needed her calm and non-judgemental influence. I know she will miss Marge's presence in her life. We think our loved ones will always be there. Our spouse or parent or sibling. We are never ready to say goodbye. Your family has had more grief than most. I often think about how people manage to go on after a death of a close family member.I feel so fortunate to have yet to experience such a thing. But I know it's just a matter of time for everyone. It's at times like this when we rely on our faith to pull us through. Even if we have fallen away. We have to know that there is something after this life, that we will be reunited again, that the experience will be more profound than we are able to comprehend. It will make all the suffering worthwhile if we have lived a good life. I'm confident your mom/wife is at peace because she has led a good life and lived it with dignity and faith. That faith has reunited her not only with her Creator but also with her beloved son Joe. I pray for God's comfort in your grief and cherished memories that will always keep her near and dear to you and the kids. I wished I could have been at the funeral to give you my condolences in person but unfortunately that wasn't possible. Please accept my sympathies and my hopes and prayers for easier days ahead. Sincerely, Big Michelle😊
