Obituary for Veronica Mary Ralph
Veronica Mary Ralph born November 25, 1948 to Alice (nee Moss) and Bernard MacKey at Windsor, Newfoundland. Veronica attended Notre Dame Elementary Academy and graduated from St. Catherine’s High School, Grand Falls, Newfoundland in 1965.
After various Junior positions as sales clerk and hotel receptionist, Veronica joined the Bank of Montreal in 1966 where she spent the next 25 years holding various junior positions and middle management. In 1993, Veronica took the Real Estate Course and became a Realtor. She then transferred to Strata Management. She retired in February 2017.
In 1965 Veronica met her first love, Gerald (Jerry) Ralph and they were married July 1967. In 1970 they were blessed with their beautiful daughter Dana Marie, eighteen months later another blessing, their handsome son Scott Michael joined them.
In 1973 the family packed up all of their belongings and moved to the West Coast where they have enjoyed living ever since.
In 2002 they were blessed with their first grandson, Trenton, a couple of years later he was joined by his brother Damon and a couple of more years later he was joined by his brother Stephon. Veronica was very proud of her grandsons and what fine men they are growing into.
Veronica was predeceased by her parents Bernard and Alice Mackey, adoptive parents Nellie and Ambrose Whiffen, brother Dominic Mackey and sister Margaret Hiscock. Left to mourn is her husband of 50 years, Jerry Ralph, daughter Dana Gibson (Bruce), son Scott Ralph (Fiona), grandsons Trenton, Damon and Stephon. Also half brothers Tony McKay (Carrie) and Brian McKay (Nancy). Many nephews, nieces, cousin and friends.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
