Obituary for Alfred James "Al" Hosking
HOSKING, Alfred James born January 12, 1928 passed away peacefully May 12, 2018 in White Rock BC. Al is predeceased by his wife Beverley in 2014, survived by his children Penny(Jim), Mary (Paul), Steve (Deborah) and Anne, and his grandchildren Colby, Amber and Tyson.
Dad started as a newspaper man working with the Winnipeg Free Press eventually becoming the Foreign News Editor, which is what he was doing when he got the calling to become an Anglican Priest. What followed was 40 years of joyful service to God and his many parishes from Emerson, Manitoba, Ponoka Alberta, Prince George BC, Surrey BC and finally to Coquitlam, BC.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday May 23 at 2:00 pm from St. Laurence Anglican Church, 825 St. Laurence Ave, Coquitlam BC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
