Founded in 1964, Burquitlam Funeral Home has remained a trusted, family-owned business with a deep commitment to compassionate service and community connection. What began as a humble home on North Road, built by my great-uncle in the 1920s, has grown and evolved with the community around it—through times of farmland, to high-rises, and into a new chapter.

As a second-generation funeral director, I’m honoured to continue the McCormick family tradition of caring for families during life’s most difficult moments. Our team takes pride in offering professional, personalized services with the utmost dignity, whether you are making arrangements in a time of need or planning ahead for peace of mind.

In 2023, Burquitlam Funeral Home joined with Kearney Funeral Services, expanding our reach and resources while preserving our deep local roots. As of October 2024, we’ve relocated to our modern, purpose-built facility at 102 - 200 Bernatchey Street in Coquitlam. This state-of-the-art location offers families a peaceful, accessible environment in the heart of historic Maillardville.
