My Sweet Friend
I first met Heather way back in 1969 or 1970, in Burnaby, B.C., when we lived in the same apartment complex. As I think of her now, here are some things that come to mind: lovely nature walks, trips to the garden centres, broad beans and apples (especially Cox's orange pippens, which I had never even heard of before knowing Heather), a glass of wine with a good chat, lots of giggles and laughs. The colour navy blue.......which she was especially fond of when shopping for clothing at the mall in the '70s.
Altough I moved to Calgary in 1980, whenever we had the chance to talk or get together, it was as if time had not passed. I felt as close to her as always. Heather had a sweet, kind and gentle nature, a pleasure to be around. I will miss her so much.
My condolences to her family, and all her friends, who were like family to her.
