Obituary for Beatrice Crew (Allen)

Beatrice Crew (Allen)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Beatrice Crew, on April 6, 2014. Predeceased by her husband Courtland and sister Elsie, she is survived by her brother Edwin.

Born and raised in Simpson, Saskatchewan, mom taught in several one-room schools before moving to New Westminster with her husband. There they raised three children: Glynn (Karen), Marion (Bob), Courtland (Linda) and lovingly watched their grandchildren grow and thrive: Cara (Dave), Bradley (Sonia), Lisa (Scott), Scott (Leanne), Jennifer (Kevin), Dan, Kelly (Eric) and Kate (Raj). Mom took a great interest as each new great-grandchild was born and her memory will be cherished by Janae, Brookelyn, Cole, Zackary, Aleena, Sienna, Lily, Presley, Skyla, Ethan and Emma.

Known for her quiet elegance and gentle spirit Mom will be remembered in a special service to be held at Holy Trinity Cathedral, 514 Carnarvon St. New Westminster, her home parish of 68 years, on Saturday, April 26, at two o’clock.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank the doctors and nurses of the Royal Columbian Hospital and St. Michael’s Hospice for their excellence of care and their compassion as well as Thornebridge Gardens for their community of respect and friendship. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation, the Lung Association of B.C., or a charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated.
